Senior Interior Designer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide direction to and mentor team members
Provide support to Principal Designer on design projects
Independently manage designated design projects from programming through project completion
Produce or supervise the production of schematic, floor plan, elevation, interior architectural details in collaboration with team
Prepare project budgets and schedules with all project information for all furniture, plumbing appliances, lighting and finishes
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding scope, feasibility, staffing, scheduling and budget requirements of each project
Prepare construction documents for contractor bidding
Source furnishings, fixtures and finishes for projects
Oversee installs and visit job sites as needed
Attend client meetings and manage client communications
Coordinate with architects, contractors & various vendors to define and maintain optimal project schedule
Represent the company at trade and design events
Maintain and keep current, organized records for all design projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Interior Design/Architecture or equivalent experience (non-negotiable)
Minimum of 7 years of residential interior design experience (non-negotiable)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (non-negotiable)
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Google Sheets and/or MS Excel
Strong attention to detail (non-negotiable) – can’t emphasize enough how important this is
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive correspondence
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
Problem solving skills are a must
Experience preparing construction documents with advanced knowledge of detailing for interior construction
Knowledge of CA building codes and permitting
Ability to effectively create presentations and communicate concepts to clients and associates
Car and valid driver's license for sourcing and site visits

Design Intern
We love mentoring designers who are just starting out in their careers! We are looking for a design intern who is excited to be working in the world of residential interior design. Ideal candidate has a great attitude, is incredibly organized and excited to learn. In addition to managing our sample library, you may be assisting with sourcing and working in AutoCAD. Bonus if you enjoy taking photos and can support our efforts in creating content for social media. Intern positions are paid dependent on experience.

Studio
Love & Interiors “open for business” hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Our team is working out of the office, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. Additional WFH days are negotiable depending on the daily schedule (i.e. whether or not we have client meetings).
